PASSPORTS AND VISAS
It is best to assume that you need a visa to enter or transit through any country. To be sure, please check the Smart Traveller website: www.smartraveller.gov.au. Although organisation of passports and visas remains the responsibility of the traveller, please ask your consultant to assist with visas for your destination. All passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity from your arrival date back into Australia. Some countries also require two blank pages in your passport. Travellers on foreign passports may require re-entry visas to return to or transit through Australia. It is the passenger’s responsibility to inform us of any passport/visa difficulty.
ITINERARY PROOF READING
It is important that you carefully read over all the details on your itinerary as incorrect information can severely jeopardise your ability to travel. Please pay particular attention to the spelling of your name, and the flights that you are booked on. Selah has taken every precaution to ensure that information and details provided are correct and accurate. Selah cannot assume responsibility for incorrect names or incorrect travel dates once a copy of the itinerary has been sent to the client for viewing.
Travel insurance is necessary to cover you for unforeseen cancellation, accident and illness. Without travel insurance any expenses or losses incurred are the personal responsibility of the traveller. It is strongly recommended that all passengers participating in any Selah experiences purchase appropriate travel insurance. We strongly advise that your travel insurance policy includes adequate coverage for cancellation fees.
To purchase travel insurance please contact your sales consultant.
Proof of insurance cover purchased elsewhere is required to be submitted to us prior to departure. Deposit protection insurance is also offered by our office – please speak to your travel consultant for more information. If you need assistance with your insurance claim there is a service fee that applies. This fee is waived if your insurance was purchased with Selah.
We prefer payment by DIRECT DEPOSIT using internet banking. Payment can also be made by cash, cheque (made out to Selah) or credit card (fees apply).
For DIRECT DEPOSITS, please use your surname or Trip number as the REFERENCE and forward a copy of the transaction receipt to your sales consultant as proof of payment.

PRICES AND CANCELLATION FEES
Prices shown are per person, based on two people sharing a room for TWIN SHARE or one person in a room for SINGLE.
Prices do not include airfares, except where noted on specific itineraries and pricing boxes, and are subject to change without notice.
Most Selah Tours are purchased in foreign currency (USD/EUR). The tour is priced on an estimated exchange rate. Should the exchange rate fluctuate more than 2 basis points, Selah reserves the right to re-price the tour and notify all travellers of the price increase.
Similarly with airfares, prices quoted will need to be re-priced on the day of ticketing/payment and any adjustments invoiced. If you pay and ticket on the same day of quotation the pricing remains unchanged.
Cancelled bookings may incur cancellation fees of up to 100% of the cost of the booking. Some tickets/products may be non-refundable and non-transferable. Supplier/airline fees may apply where a booking is changed. The traveller is responsible for any change or cancellation fees incurred. Any refund for cancelled bookings will not be refunded until Selah receives the refund from the supplier. Please refer to the specific tour page to note the specific cancellation fees that apply for that tour.
Local taxes including city taxes may be payable on arrival.
Excess baggage fees are the responsibility of the traveller.
Vaccinations are required for travel to some countries. As our travel consultants are not medically trained, Selah will not comment on recommendations. Please see your local doctor or a specialist vaccination clinic such as Travelvax for advice: www.travelvax.com.au/holiday-traveller. Please note that some countries may deny entry if you are not appropriately vaccinated.
It is the traveller’s responsibility to take all necessary precautions to avoid any occurrence of Deep Vein Thrombosis.
Selah reserves the right to remove or quarantine you if you show signs of illness, or pose a threat to the safety and health of other participants. Removal or quarantine for any health, safety, or behaviour-related assessment is at the sole discretion of Selah. Any costs incurred for medical assessments, diagnosis, and/or any other medically-related charges are your responsibility to pay and are due at time of services. You will be allowed to re-join the trip with confirmed medical certification from a licensed health practitioner indicating fitness to travel without causing harm or posing a safety or health risk to other guests.
A deposit is required to secure your place on a tour. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable.
We will advise you of the deposit amount payable for your arrangements (or check the FAQs of the relevant tour page). To find out more about travel insurance, please speak to your travel consultant.
COOLING OFF PERIOD
You have a cooling-off period during which you may cancel your tour reservation without fees. Your cancellation must be made in writing and received by Selah within the cooling-off period. The cooling-off period will commence on the first day following the day on which you book your reservation and will end at close of business (Melbourne time) on the day which is 7 days after the first day. If you cancel your reservation during the cooling-off period your deposit will be refunded and no cancellation fee will apply. If you cancel your reservation after the cooling-off period, then all other Terms apply, including the application of cancellation fees.
Full payment is required by the final payment date. The final payment date is dependent upon the trip and services booked (see tour website for FAQs and exact deadline dates).
If you do not pay the full invoice by the final payment date, your reservation and all services on the reservation, will be cancelled, and your deposit, airfare and travel insurance premiums will be forfeited. Reservations made after the final payment date require full payment at the time of reservation and may include late reservation fees.
Group travel and tours are costed on a minimum group size. Should the group number fall below this, Selah reserves the right to make any appropriate adjustments, including cancellation or surcharge. In the event of Selah making a cancellation, a full refund of all monies will apply, less an administration fee. Any additional money paid for personal pre- or post-tour travel arrangements is not refunded if the tour is cancelled by Selah.
After your airfare is booked, any revisions you make may incur fees. This includes correcting errors in your information or services (names, dates, schedules, class of service, airlines, other). At the time of request, fees are applied and payable immediately. Selah is not liable for necessary amendments due to errors in information provided by you.
Airfare Schedule Changes
Selah is not responsible or liable for any airline cancellations, schedule changes or delays. Prior to check-in, for airfare purchased through Selah, we may be able to assist if you are rescheduled, delayed or cancelled. After you check-in, Selah can no longer assist you and you must work with the airline directly to arrive at your destination. Selah is not liable for expenses you incur if you miss your flight or flight connection.
Any amendments you make voluntarily to your air or air schedule may incur change fees or additional charges up to the full ticket price. These are your responsibility to pay.
Making Your Own Flight Arrangements
If you make your own flight arrangements, Selah is not responsible for any loss resulting from cancellation or changes in international gateways, itineraries, or travel dates. It is best to avoid airline tickets with high change fees.
CANCELLATIONS BY SELAH
Selah reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any trip departure for any reason, including insufficient demand, strikes, lockouts, riots, stoppage of labour or Force Majeure Event (see under “Force Majeure”).
In the event of a cancellation by Selah prior to departure, Selah will try, at your discretion, to rebook the same trip with a different departure date, or a similar trip, but there is no guarantee of availability. Selah will refund the difference in price if the alternate is lower. You are responsible for additional costs if the alternate is higher. If this rebooking option is not acceptable to you, Selah’s only responsibility is to refund the amounts paid by you for the reservation.
In the event of a cancellation by Selah prior to departure or during your trip for conditions under Force Majeure, Selah will provide a future travel/booking credit for the portion of your trip impacted. Future travel/booking credit will be redeemable for travel with Selah for one year past your original trip start date. If a future travel/booking credit is not acceptable to you, in the majority of Force Majeure situations, you can notify the company within 21 days of advisement and Selah’s only responsibility is to refund the amounts paid by you for the portion of your trip impacted. If you do not notify Selah within 21 days of advisement, a refund is no longer available.
Selah is not liable or responsible for any arrangements made independently of the Selah tour. Selah assumes no responsibility for costs or fees you incur for independent arrangements not booked through Selah, inclusive of, but not limited to, airline, hotel, excursion and travel insurance related charges.
Selah acts as an agent and sells products on behalf of accommodation, transport and other providers such as airlines, rail, coach and cruise line operators. We cannot guarantee the performance of these service providers. We accept no liability for errors in any brochures or other marketing material supplied by the service providers. Airlines/cruise lines are third party providers and impose different terms and conditions to the ones imposed by us. Clients should make sure to read the relevant Terms & Conditions before finalising travel bookings. Advance purchase and other discounted airfares usually involve substantial cancellation or amendment fees. In some cases, these discounted airfares may be non-refundable.
We are not responsible for flight schedule updates or other changes made by service providers to their products.
If you are part of any loyalty or frequent flyer membership programs, it is your responsibility to notify us of your membership numbers.

Selah will not refund nor cover any cost or expenses incurred, or compensate for any missed inclusions or optional excursions claimed, due to your inability to maintain punctuality.
SPECIAL NEEDS AND PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
Any special requirements or disabilities must be disclosed to The Company at time of reservation, or if such requirements arise after the reservation, as soon as such requirements are or reasonably should be known by the participant. If The Company has not received disclosure of requirements or disabilities that require reasonable accommodations for accessibility, and/or if your participation poses a threat to the safety or health to self or others, The Company may be unable to accommodate you for part or all of the Tour, Cruise or any services provided in connection with the Tour.
Suitability & Accessibility
Certain activities or venues may be limited or inaccessible to you if your mobility is limited in any manner. Many excursions and sightseeing involve extended periods of walking and standing often on uneven pavement or surfaces, and may include staircases, paths, walkways or locations that are narrow or inaccessible or of limited accessibility by wheelchair.
You are responsible for assessing if the itinerary is suitable for all participants on the reservation. We recommend you contact The Company prior to making a reservation to determine what reasonable assistance might be available.
The Company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate special needs but cannot guarantee that it can accommodate in all cases.
