Step into the story of God’s mission in Southeast Asia as we journey through Penang, Malacca, and Singapore. Discover how the gospel spread across centuries and cultures, encounter the richness of diverse faith traditions, and be inspired by Australia’s own legacy of mission in the region. More than history, this tour invites you to see global mission as central to our faith and part of God’s continuing story today.

This tour offers a unique opportunity to step into the story of God’s mission beyond Australia and into our neighbouring region of Southeast Asia. As we explore the historic British Straits Settlements of Penang, Malacca, and Singapore, we’ll uncover how the gospel spread across centuries—through medieval beginnings, the enlightenment era, and into modern times—carried along the trade and cultural networks of the British Empire.

Along the way, we’ll encounter the rich diversity of local faiths and traditions, gaining fresh insight into how Christians have shared the good news in multi-faith settings. We’ll also reflect on Australia’s own legacy of mission in the region and how God continues to use His people to bring hope and light to the nations.

This journey is more than history—it’s an invitation to see global mission as central to our Christian faith, and to be inspired by those who have gone before us as we consider our own part in God’s great story of redemption.

The Camino Walk in Northern Spain has been a spiritual journey since the Middle Ages. Today the walk attracts people from all over the world, searching for purpose and meaning. As a group of Christians, this is an intentional walk wanting to engage with others along The Way. Invite others for chats at night or as you walk, share your story of faith.

The Camino Walk in Northern Spain has been a spiritual journey since the Middle Ages. Back then it was believed that if a pilgrim took the journey their sins would be forgiven!

Today the walk attracts people from all over the world, searching for purpose and meaning. As a group of Christians, this is an intentional walk wanting to engage with others along The Way. Invite others for chats at night or as you walk, share your story of faith.

The walk ‘ends’ in the town of Santiago de Compostela, where it is believed the remains of the apostle James are held in the crypt under the Cathedral. For this reason, the walk is known as the Way of Saint James (even though his remains came by boat!).

The scallop shell, found on the shores in Galicia, has long been the symbol of the Camino de Santiago, and is a common signpost along the path to guide pilgrims in the direction of Santiago.
Whatever your reason for walking you will be inspired by the beauty of God’s creation as you walk, you will encounter different people along the way and you will have Selah moments with God as you connect with Him on your walk.

We joined the Camino de Santiago tour in Spain. Lisa and her team could not have done a better job of preparing us for the walk, helping us with all our travel arrangements and ensuring that the entire group had a fantastic experience. Highlights for me were singing in a 12th century church in Portomarin, the deep trust developed within the group as we shared our struggles and joys, morning prayer together, walking down laneways with mossy trees, lovely meals, hot showers and especially time to reflect. The thrill of arriving in Santiago, and sense of achievement in managing the long walking days and receiving the Compostela certificate were great, but I think most of all it was the work God was doing in me and the friendships created in the group which will stay with me. Very grateful to Selah for combing incredible professionalism and faith in all that they do. Cathy, VIC 2024

Travel to London, Oxford, Cambridge and enjoy a 2 day retreat in the Cotswolds as we discover the life and works of C.S. Lewis and other well known Christian writers & storytellers.

A wonderful tour of England discovering the life and works of theologian and author C.S. Lewis as well as other well-known Christian authors/storytellers including JRR Tolkien, GK Chesterton, John Bunyan and preacher Charles Spurgeon.
The tour commences in London where we will visit significant Christian sites including Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s Cathedral. We continue to Oxford where Lewis, Tolkien and others worked and lived. We will see Lewis’s home, local church and of course Oxford University where he taught. Lewis, Tolkien and others known as The Inklings met in Oxford pubs to critique each other’s work and enjoy fellowship together.
C.S. Lewis loved spending time in the Cotswolds and Selah is thrilled to include a 2 day Christian retreat in this tour at a beautiful centre for Christian healing. This will give you time to enjoy the English countryside and have ”Selah time” with God and your travelling companions as you go deeper in your faith.

Following on from our retreat in the Cotswolds we continue to Cambridge where Lewis was (finally) made a professor. This stunning university town is also considered the “seat of the English Reformation” and enjoys a rich Christian history.

The Via Francigena is a historic pilgrimage route from Canterbury to Rome, offering spiritual, cultural, and scenic walking experiences. Ths trip is covering the last segments from Lucca to Rome, with a visit to Assisi.

The Via Francigena is an ancient pilgrimage route stretching over 2,000 km from Canterbury, England, to Rome, Italy. Dating back to the 10th century, it was first recorded by Sigeric, the Archbishop of Canterbury, who documented his return journey from Rome. The route passes through England, France, Switzerland, and Italy, crossing varied landscapes—rolling countryside, the Alps, and the Apennines—before arriving at the Vatican.

Historically, the Via Francigena was a major artery for pilgrims, merchants, and soldiers traveling to the heart of Christendom. Today, it is walked for spiritual, cultural, and recreational reasons, offering a rich blend of medieval towns, Roman roads, vineyards, churches, and monasteries.

Unlike the Camino de Santiago, the Via Francigena is less crowded and more rustic, with sections still developing in terms of infrastructure. Pilgrims can walk or cycle the route, collecting stamps in a credential (pilgrim passport) and often staying in hostels, monasteries, or guesthouses.

The Selah journey starts in Lucca and ends in St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. More than a physical challenge, the Via Francigena offers a profound journey through history, faith, and breathtaking landscapes.
