As we explore the historic British Straits Settlements of Penang, Malacca, and Singapore, we’ll uncover how the gospel spread across centuries—through medieval beginnings, the enlightenment era, and into modern times—carried along the trade and cultural networks of the British Empire.
Along the way, we’ll encounter the rich diversity of local faiths and traditions, gaining fresh insight into how Christians have shared the good news in multi-faith settings. We’ll also reflect on Australia’s own legacy of mission in the region and how God continues to use His people to bring hope and light to the nations.
This journey is more than history—it’s an invitation to see global mission as central to our Christian faith, and to be inspired by those who have gone before us as we consider our own part in God’s great story of redemption.
